prediction
I am a player
from wheelwrights and of the teams we have played the only
team that seem to have out classed us in every postion is
Purley Celtic. That is why I believe they will win the league.

2007 - Subject - Warriors win over Cadoza
Warriors
controlled the game from start to finish. We went ahead through
double scorer Raymond Akende and the man of the match. Taurai
Matereke scored the insurance goal to keep Warriors within
touching distance of those ahead of us. Kevin
Gweshe.

I have been
to a lot of games this year but I have never seen a more dangerous
and well organised team than Stopsley Common. They have a
guy called James Trapp who is too good for this league. Humayuen

I think Melson
Arms have what it takes to win the league this season. After
a great effort last season, where they were unlucky to lose
out to AFC Chalk Hill, they know what they have to do and
that experience should stand them in good stead to go one
better this season. It's really good to see the league being
so competitive this season, with the top 6 in contention at
the midway stage. John Lew.

Hello
I have been on your website and I was delighted and very impressed
with the result from sundays match on 3rd of december Houghton
revolution- 3 Melson arms- 3. Houghton lads did extremely
well. However, I was very dissapointed that the table has
been filled in, incorrectly stating that houghton revolution
scored 2 goals, when they actually scored 3. I feel this mistake
should be corrected asap to prevent any confusion. Lucy
Bethell.
December
3rd 2006 - Subject - Respect
I'd just
like to say looking at the weekend preview and seeing you
said Melson are SURE to gain 3 points of Houghton Revolution
I see a lack of respect to our team. After all we did beat
them today 3-2 at their place and done USL a favour, so now
I'd like to see some respect to Houghton Revolution, as u
class us as more 'n' less whipping boys for the lights of
Melson, USL and Dunstable Town. Sean
Maloney, Houghton Revolution Captain.

20th 2006 - Subject - Website
Im the captain
of Houghton Revolution and I think you have a great website
full of info etc. I would just like to see my team mates statistics
in there as they are not. Our top scorer Alex Collins has
scored 8 Goals and isnt in the top scorers chart as the bottom
scorer is 7. Also in the match report write ups we never have
our scorers named just wondering why. Anyway Many thanks and
all the best. Sean
Maloney, Houghton Revolution Captain.

THE MANAGER HAS DONE SO WELL. AT LEAST WE STARTED WINNING
SOMETHING. WHAT A PLEASURE TOO. MY REGARDS TO THE OLD / NEW.
I AM NOW STUDING IN CYPRUS AND WOULD ONE DAY VISIT ENGLAND

2006 - Subject - Watford Bengals 9-0
defeat against USL
USL
was a young, tough team who could play and did the basics
well (unlike Watford) and showed why they are on the up in
Luton Sunday League football. This match was Watford Bengal's
heaviest defeat in its history, and confirmed why the team
has never bothered to move into Sunday League football, as
the lack of depth in the squad was evident. Anamul
Hassan, Manager of Watford Bengals.

I would like
to say well done to United Sporting Luton FC in the advances
it has made on and off the football field. A great website
which the league can be proud of and by sponsoring the league,
ensures the survival of the league for the immediate future.
All left now is the team to start filling up its trophy cabinet.
It has been a pleasure to have created close links with USL
FC. Anamul
Hassan, Watford Bengals FC.

What's this
I am hearing your club is sponsoring the league. How can that
be? Is that allowed? Anyway cool website. Robert
Murphy, Stopsley.

2006 Subject - USL Website
Can I just
commend you on an absolute superb website, its great. Although
the league itself does not have a web site, your website gives
a true reflection on the league in a detailed and un-biased
way. Kevin Taylor, AFC Chalkhill.

Well done
Caddington for producing a super result against Melson. It's
good to see top teams getting less than 3 points. Dean
Walsh, South Luton.

Subject - Cup Final
You
guys (USL) were unlucky to lose 4-0 today but in the end the
better team won. Keep the good work up and who knows it maybe
your turn next year. Christopher Wright,
Hart Hill.
We had fantastic
day out Shax. You were right. It was a carnival day out. We
thought you were unlucky not to get something out of the game
but hey someone had to lose. Pity it was USL because we had
so many people turn up to see you in glory. Maya
Begum, Saints area.

2006 Subject - Early season finish
A lot of
the league matches have ended. Can someone tell me why? Teams
played in some awful weather throughout the season. Why can't
some games be played in May and June. At least the sun will
be out and the temperature avoiding us wearing wintery coats.
Benjamin Watts, Lewsey Farm.

2006 Subject - Referees
What Dean
said is very true. It's bloody annoying when I see refs make
mistakes. Their decisions at times can decide an outcome.

2006 Subject
- Referees
In
reply to what Stewart Sinclair said many players feel aggrieved
at some of the standard of officiating in this league. There
are a few players who overstep the mark but considering the
150 or so players in this league who pay to play football
on a sunday morning it's not a large problem. These referees
are paid 30 odd quid and some seem to be unable to make the
simplest of decisions. Handballs seemed to be ignored on a
weekly basis for example if you speak to most teams. There
are some good refs in this league, but some are unclear in
their decisions and actions. One of our players recevied a
letter stating he had been yellow carded against Houghton
Revolution despite the only card being shown was to a Houghton
player!!! We played Great Holm Steel today and they had a
player booked for coming on as a sub because the refeere forgot
to ask his details! there has to be give and take from both
sides. Dean Ashton, Windsor Castle FC.
April
7th 2006 Subject - Referees
Throughout
this season I have seen many players give referees unfair
criticsm. At times they are very abusive and ungentlemanly.
If this stupidity continues we may well be in a situation
of playing games without any referees next season. This will
be disastrous as many teams will ask persons to ref a game
who have not the faintest idea what an off side or indirect
free kick is. Please for the sake the sake of preventing chaos,
can we leave the refs alone and accept the decisions they
make. Once they make a decision they very rarely change it.
Stewart Sinclair, Marsh Farm.

2006 Subject
- Fair reporting
"You
(USL) scored two goals from debatable decisions from a ref
who seemed intent on not giving us two clear cut penalties
and blowing up any slight contact we put on your players.
I know it's your website and most of the teams actually enjoy
reading it but try a bit of unbiased reporting!! Dean
Ashton, Windsor Castle FC.
